Easter is a wonderful Christian holiday, particularly in Norrland. When the weather is pleasant, there is nothing quite like going ice fishing for arctic char and trout with good friends. This Easter, the weather gods smiled down upon us, and we were able to spend a full day on the ice on Good Friday. The fish were biting, and we caught many nice ones. Mormyskor, such as Lindroos, were particularly effective as bait. Of course, we also enjoyed barbecuing and riding snowmobiles in the beautiful surroundings.
For dinner, we cooked up fresh char fillets, and the evening ended with a long sauna session. Living in Norrland is truly wonderful.
